This guide explains how to enable and use additional fields on your booking widget.
As of October 2024, new fields have been added to the booking widget to make it easier for you to capture important customer details.
In addition to the existing fields on the booking form (first name, last name, mobile, email and company name), you can now also opt to collect the following information during bookings:
-
Membership Number (note that this field is not searchable)
-
Date of Birth
-
Postcode
Once captured, these fields will be stored and shown in:
- Customer records at the venue level
- Customer exports via Admin and Diary
-
Important: Due to Personally Identifiable Information (PII) regulations, these fields will be excluded from the CSV for customers who have unsubscribed from communications.
Enable Additional Fields on the Widget
These new fields are optional in the widget and can be turned on or off through your admin settings. You can also choose to make them mandatory for a booking.
- Log in to your Admin portal through admin.nowbookit.com
- Select 'Widget Settings’ under Diary on the left sidebar
- Check the 'On/Off' boxes for the fields you'd like to implement
- Check the 'Mandatory' box if you'd like to make the field mandatory for customers when making a new booking
Note: When 'Booked By' is used, it overrides the additional fields settings and these will no longer be mandatory.
Additional Fields in the Diary
The new fields (Membership Number, DoB, Postcode) are turned on by default in your diary. The images below shows you where to locate the new additional in the diary
