Creating Table Joins Within Your Diary

A table join is the option to combine 2 or more tables to create tables that maximise flexibility and venue capacity.

 

For example, Table 1 and Table 2 has a minimum capacity of 1 and a maximum of 2. By creating a table join between these two tables, you can accomodate a combined minimum of 3 and a maximum of 4 - whilst still allowing these tables to be used individually if required.

 

Table joins can be useful if your venue mainly hosts smaller reservations but requires the flexibility to accommodate larger groups, a table join allows you to merge tables to create the necessary space.

 

The more table joins you create, the greater the number of reservations you can accommodate during service, helping you maximise your venue's capacity by utilising additional tables.

 

How to Create a Table Join:

1. In your restaurant diary, click on the three white lines on the top left-hand corner of your page, then click Settings.
2. Once in Settings, Select Layouts
3. Select the Layout in which you’d like to create a Table Join
4. Within the Layout, Click on Table Joins tab at the top of the page
5. Click on the ‘+’ symbol to create a new table join
6. From the drop down menu, tick the box of the tables you wish to include in the join
7. 1. There’s no limit to the configurations you choose. For example Table 1, 2, 3 & 4 are all capacity of 2 minimum of 1. You can create a table join for Tables 1 & 2 which will create a capacity of 4, you can also create a table join for Tables 1, 2 and 3 which can accommodate capacity of 6, minimum 5.
   2. You are not able to create Table Join between Sections. Table Joins can only be created for Table within the same Section.
8. Give the ‘Table Join’ a priority (the order of which the Table join is used)
9. Complete the Capacity and Minimum capacity
10. Select the Availability of the Table Join
11. 1. All - Available to be booked Online
    2. Diary Only - These tables are for internal use only within the diary for staff and will not be visible to guests online.
    3. Walk Ins Only - Reservations for this table can only be made for walk-ins on the day.
12. Once you have completed all your table joins, click Save.
