How to Enable Bookings through Social Media Platforms

Updating your online presence with your reservations link is key to letting customers book instantly within a few clicks.

Add Reservation Link to your Google My Business profile 

Make sure to link to the Reservations page on your website to get the full benefits of your SEO. 

  1. Log in to your Google Business account 
  2. Select the group of dots in the top right corner 9509aae1-4094-4d9f-8116-437b1ebeebe7
  3. Select the Business Profile manager icon 
  4. Select Bookings        GMB-2
  5. Click on Add Link or Add another link 
  6. Insert your website booking URL and save 
  7. Your Google My Business profile will reflect the booking link for customers within 24 hours.   GMB-3

Add Booking Integration to Facebook & Instagram 

You can add the Reserve on Social integration on your Now Book It admin portal or through Facebook.  

 

Note: You will need a Meta Business page to create the blue ‘Book Now’ button 

Add Through Now Book It (Preferred Option)

  1. Log in to your venue’s Now Book It admin portal 

     

  2. Click the Integrations tab on the left hand side 

  3. Select the Setup button under Facebook NBI-FB1

     

  4. You’ll be redirected to log in to your Facebook page 

     

  5. Follow the prompts on the screen to confirm linking 

     

  6. You’ll be redirected back to the Now Book It portal 

     

  7. The Setup button will now show Disconnect 

     

  8. Do not click Disconnect unless you’d like to remove this feature. 

  9. Click "Save" to complete the connectionNBI-FB2

Add Through Facebook

You must be the account admin for your Facebook business profile 

  1. Log in to your venue’s Facebook page 
  2. Click on the ellipsis (the three dots) on the right  
  3. Select Add Action Button or Edit Action Button FB-1
  4. Select the Book Now button 
  5. Select Connect another tool and select Now Book It  FB-2
  6. Follow the prompts on-screen to continue 
  7. Grant permissions to connect Now Book It to Facebook 
  8. You will be redirected to the Now Book It portal to log in 
  9. Select the venue to activate & confirm settings to link 
  10. Once done, your page should have a Book Now buttonFB-3

 

Troubleshooting 

If you receive an error saying Currency Null Troubleshooting-1

  1. Log into your venue’s Now Book It Admin Portal 
  2. Under Venue page, look for the Payments tab 
  3. Select Stripe as your Payment Gateway Provider Troubleshooting2
  4. Select a Currency type (i.e. Australian Dollar) 
  5. Click Save on the bottom right corner 
  6. You’ve created a placeholder Stripe currency setting 
  7. Complete your Facebook integration setup again 

 

If your Facebook settings do not show Now Book It as an option 

  1. Check that you are connecting using the Account Admin role Troubleshooting-3
  2. Log in to your Facebook page as Admin 
  3. Select Settings 
  4. Select Page Roles  
  5. Select the account you are using for the integration 
  6. Click Edit to change the account role to Admin 
  7. Hit Save 
  8. Complete your Facebook integration setup again
