Welcome to Sadie's Brain
What is the Knowledge Base?
The Knowledge Base is where we can start filling out specific information related to your venue. Everything we write in here is information that Sadie can use when answering questions on behalf of your customers. As an example, a lot of cafe's often get a phone call asking "Can I bring my dog?". Sadie can't answer this for you if she doesn't know the answer but simply writing "We accept dogs outside" is enough for Sadie to now know she can advise customers they're allowed to bring their dog. Sadie doesn't simply read out what's written here like verbatim, she will use the information here as part of a whole sentence that sounds natural in the conversation. For example "Yes, you're welcome to bring your dog along as long as you're seated outside. Would you like me to check if we have any availability in our outdoor area?"
An example of you might want to add to your Knowledge Base would be:

We also recommend creating an additional file in your knowledge base just for your menu. Customers often call to ask questions such as "do you have gluten-free pizza?" - Adding a full menu will allow Sadie to answer such questions.
To create your knowledge base:

Click on the Knowledge Base tab

Click the '+' icon in the top right hand corner

Name your file (in general you will only need to add 2 here, one titled 'FAQ' and another titled 'Menu')

Add some text to the file (you won't be able to save the file unless some text is added here)

Click Save

Make sure your new file is switched on by clicking the toggle next to the file name
Troubleshooting / FAQ:

You can include the answers to almost any question in your knowledge base unless it relates to something else Sadie already has information for - For example, Sadie doesn't look at you knowledge base when asked anything to do with opening hours or reservations as she already has this information elsewhere.

Uploaded files must be in .txt format / text only format or they will not upload

If Sadie isn't reciting answers to questions in your knowledge base there are 2 common reasons for this.

You have copied the text from a PDF file or other file type and special characters are appearing in your file that look like this - ���. Removing these will resolve this issue.

The file has not been switched on in your knowledge base, to rectify this, just click the toggle shown next to the file name as shown in the screenshot below.
