Select booking options in your Diary to require staff initials

Now Book It allows users to optionally require staff initials when bookings are made in the Diary. This can help a venue track who on their team created a booking or made changes to an existing booking. 


How to require Staff Initials for Booking Options

  1. Click into Diary Settings > Bookings

  2. Check the box if you'd like to make sure staff members to log their initials before actioning on the changes

  3. You can also decide if staff initials is optional (show only) or mandatory for the action

    • For example, if you want staff initials to be optional when creating a booking, check the box for Show when creating a booking. If it should be mandatory, check the box for Mandatory when creating a booking box.

Note that mandatory settings for specific types of booking creation such as walk-ins and edits such as time and table changes can only be applied if you require staff initials to be mandatory to create and edit bookings.


Default Settings

The default settings for staff initials is turned off for all booking options.

If you are turning on staff initials for the first time, make sure to select the options accordingly.

If your venue currently requires staff initials to be mandatory:

  • When creating a booking, it will also default to Mandatory when using the Change Date button.
