Status Options - Diary

Status options indicate the stage that a booking is at in the Restaurant Diary. Some status options can customised to your venue, while others are automatically generated by the Now Book It system (such as Cancelled, Confirmed and SMS Sent).
To create a status:

Select Settings from the Diary menu.

  1. Select the + button the right to create a new Status.
  2. If a slider is present next to the status, this means that it can turned on and off for use in the diary.
  3. If a pencil is available next to the status, this means that it can be edited by clicking on the pencil icon.
  4. Arrows next to any status will adjust the order that it appears in your diary menu. Place your most frequently used status icons closest to the top of the menu.

5. Enter in a display code for your Status eg. NT (standing for no Thank You email).

6. Select a Type from the list.

7. Enter a name. (in this case, 'No Thank You Email'

Note: Partially seated and seated are triggers for thank you emails to be sent as this implies that they have been in the venue.
Unconfirmed status will trigger emails such as reminders and confirmations, so ensure that you are selecting the appropriate Type for your status.
Example.
If you have a customer in venue that is a serial complainer, and you don't want a Thank you email being sent out that has a link to your social review pages, you can change the status of the customer's booking to NT once they have finished dining. This will stop the Thank You email from being sent to them.

8. Toggle slider to enable or disable a status icon.

9. Select Save.
