Turning on Stripe 3D Secure

How to set up Stripe 3D Secure for payments

If you are currently using the Now Book It <> Stripe payment integration, we highly recommend turning on Stripe 3D Secure (3DS) to reduce the likelihood of fraud issues. 3D Secure (3DS) is supported by the customer's bank or their personal authentication as an extra layer of security.

  1. Go to the Payments tab in your Admin page

How does this impact your customer's payment flow?

With 3D Secure turned on, customers will be required to provide additional authentication during payment.

  • When customers select 'Pay Now' on the booking or gift card widget, a verification screen will pop-up.
  • An OTP (one-time password) will be sent to the mobile number associated with their bank details.
  • The payment is only approved once they enter the OTP correctly to the transaction verification page.
