Tags allow you to quickly flag customers according to certain characteristics, such as 'Allergy', 'VIP' or 'Vegetarian'. Tags are visible from the Restaurant Diary view and are applied to both bookings and customer profiles.
The Now Book It system features a set of common default tags, but you can also customise these or create your own. To modify your tags:
- Go to your Restaurant Diary menu > Settings > Tags.
- Use the arrows next to each status icon to adjust the order in which it appear in your diary menu. Keep frequently used tags closest to the top.
- If a slider is present next to a status icon, this means that it can turned on and off.
- If a pencil is available next to a status icon, it can be edited.
- Select the + button to add a new Tag.
- Select the tag Type from the drop down menu (this is just a way to catogrise your tag).
- Select an icon of your choice. Ignore the existing name next to the icon as this is a suggestion only—you can rename it here.
- Select the colour that you would like the icon to be.
- Create a new name for you tag.
- Select Online if you want this tag to appear as a tick box option to customers bookings via the online widget. Do not select this option if the tag is intended for internal use only.
- Select Permanent if you want this tag to remain on the customer record on a permanent basis (such as a No Show or VIP). Do not make occasion-specific tags, such as Birthday, permanent options as they will not be relevant to each booking that the customer makes.
- Select Save.
