Blockout by Hiding a Service

You can either create a blockout for a service or hide the service so it no longer appears on the booking widget.

• Blockout a Service – Select a service to blockout all tables within it

• Hide a Service  - Select a service to hide on the booking widget, making it unavailable to customers but still accessible to staff in the diary.

Creating Blockouts for a Service from the Diary

These are ideal for short-term changes and can apply to a single time slot, a full day, one table, or all tables.

Steps:

1. Log in and navigate to the Diary view.

2. Click the three dots in the bottom-right corner of the screen.

3. From the pop-up menu, select New Block:

   • New Blockout – Create a new blockout.

   • Edit Blockouts – Modify existing blockouts.

   • Unallocate Bookings – Move all bookings to the waitlist.

   • Finish All Bookings - Change the status of All Bookings to 'Finished'

4. Click New Blockout.

5. A window will appear with the two options: 
   
   
   
   
6. Choose Blockout by Service, click 'Next' 

7. Select a Service to blockout all tables within it 

   • Note: If one service overlaps with another, tables during the overlapping period will be unavailable for booking, regardless of their assigned service.

     In the example provided, the Trivia service uses the same sections as the Dinner service. Therefore, once the Trivia service has been blocked out, all tables in the sections used by Trivia are also blocked out — even though those same sections are assigned to the Dinner service.

   • The Trivia service will still be visible to customers online; however, it will not be available for reservations.

1. Click Create

Your blockout will now appear on the timeline.

Hiding a Service on the Book Widget

Hide a Service on the booking widget, making it unavailable to customers but still accessible to staff in the diary.

1. Navigate to the date in the diary for which you wish to hide the service.
   
   

2. Click the three dots in the bottom-right corner of the screen.

   

3. From the pop-up menu, select New Block:

4. Click New Blockout.

5. A window will appear with two options. Select Blockout by Service, and click 'Next'
   
   
   
   
6. Select Hide Service at the top of the window
7. Choose the Service you wish to Hide, finally click Hide in the top right corner
