Sadie - Welcome Message
Information about how Sadie starts a call
What is the welcome message?
The Welcome Message is the first thing Sadie says when she answers your phone - In this tab you can customise the first interaction callers will have with Sadie.
Customisation Options
- Default Message: The Default Message is what Sadie will say if we don't customise the Welcome Message. It's fine to leave it as this but it's not personalised to your venue and we think it sounds much better to use something custom!
- Welcome Message: Personalise the message Sadie AI uses when answering your calls.
How to Set Up Your Welcome Message

Navigate to the Welcome Message tab.

Click 'Edit Settings'.

Enter your preferred greeting e.g., "Welcome to [Your Venue]! This is Sadie, your AI receptionist. How can I help you today?".

Make sure the Welcome Greeting tick box is checked.

Save changes and test by clicking 'Play Recording'. Please note, you will hear this voice in Sadies American accent but this is not representative of the accent used on your live calls - You can listen to your greeting in the correct accent by calling Sadie's live number found in your Settings Tab.

You don't have to use the name Sadie. In this section, feel free to use any name you like when Sadie is answering the phone.

Whilst you can customise this section and add in anything you like, we do recommend leaving something in here advising your customers that they're speaking with AI. The reason we suggest this is because Sadie does sound very close to human over the phone, setting the expectations of her performance very high. Instead, we prefer to be transparent about the fact she's AI and hear the surprise in your customers voices about just how close to real life she is.

You can also take advantage of this section to add any additional notes about your business - For example 'Thanks for calling [Venue Name], our team is taking a much needed break over Easter and will be returning to work on April 20th'
